ALIPA`s and ISOPA’s Secretary General, Jörg Palmersheim, last week attended the biennial European Coatings Show in Nuremberg, Germany. Mr. Palmersheim gave a presentation on Tuesday, March 19, on the ongoing restriction of diisocyanates.
The presentation covered the dossier’s proposed training courses for the industrial and professional use of diisocyanates that go beyond the REACH registration dossier. In addition to providing an overview of the on-going regulatory discussions under REACH that could potentially impact the manufacture and use of diisocyanates in the future, the Secretary General outlined how seriously the diisocyanates industry takes health and safety, and provided information about diisocyanates and their safe handling as well.
