Guidelines

The safe transport of chemicals is one of the key elements of Responsible Care. All the participants in the supply chain, the manufacturers of the chemicals, the transportation company and the receiver of the chemicals play vital roles in ensuring that accidents and incidents are prevented.

The guidelines below have been developed and improved over many years and reflect the collective knowledge and best practice of the logistics personnel of the ISOPA member companies. They cover all aspects of the supply of chemicals.

ISOPA welcomes any comments that readers and practitioners would like to share with us so that further revisions and improvements can be incorporated. Please use the ‘contact us facility’ on this website.
